I think nobody is her who have never heard this legendary song, which became the Country Anthem. I know, everybody knows the name of it. Yes, you’re true. It’s Take Me Home Country Roads by John Denver.
I don’t know how many translation this song has, but in our language it’s known as Veď mě dál cesto má and this song is sung by many singers and also near every campfire and country festivals.
That’s why, here it is:
TAKE ME HOME, COUNTRY ROADS
Written By John Denver, Bill Danoff, and Taffy Nivert
Almost Heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, growin’ like a breeze
Country Roads, take me home, to the place I belong
West Virginia mountain mama
Take me home, Country Roads
All my memories gather ’round her
Miner’s lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine teardrop in my eye
Country Roads, take me home, to the place I belong
West Virginia mountain mama
Take me home, Country Roads
I hear her voice, in the mornin’ hour as she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
And drivin’ down the road I get a feelin’
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday
Country Roads, take me home, to the place I belong
West Virginia mountain mama
Take me home, Country Roads
Country Roads, take me home, to the place I belong
West Virginia mountain mama
Take me home, Country Roads
Take me home, Country Roads
Take me home, Country Roads
Take me home, Country Roads
Take me home, Country Roads
Take me home, Country Roads
